EOF provides support for the preventative maintenance necessary to keep test cells running. This preventative maintenance routine results in less unexpected downtime, as well as greater experimental reliability, efficiency, and reduced cost.
EOF provides support to the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of gloveboxes.
EOF cost-effectively repurposed a 50-year-old induction power supply for the MUSE project, providing necessary compliance inspections and repairs. This saved the project an estimated $50,000.
EOF Experimental Operations partners with the Argonne Radiological Protection Programs to service and repair the retrospective air pumps used in radiological laboratories across the site.
EOF support staff were able to troubleshoot an issue with a power supply for experimental equipment. They diagnosed the problem, then sourced and installed a discontinued part to quickly return the equipment to operation.

Research is a moving target

With ever-changing research goals, the EOF team partners with principle investigators to provide troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance to achieve experimental needs. We are qualified to accomplish the mechanical and electrical work and work with the Laboratory’s Facilities and Operations to ensure work is conducted safely and efficiently, ultimately reducing cost. Research installations frequently involve repurposing existing space. Our experienced team works to maximize use of existing infrastructure, while determining the need for additional equipment. Installations range from benchtop, commercially available equipment to unique, large-scale experiments. Working with the required subject matter experts and Environmental Health and Safety personnel, the EOF team ensures equipment installation and commissioning is conducted safely and efficiently. Once your facility is commissioned, we are available to follow up and modify it as necessary to achieve your goals.
