Abstract: This talk will discuss current trends in cyber and physical security standards, challenges, and opportunities. The speaker works for a regional regulator and will share his observations on how all stakeholders, such as vendors, academia, utilities, national laboratories, and regulators, who have synergistic interests in critical infrastructure security can collaborate on challenges and opportunities. He will also discuss emerging technologies in the energy sector that can play a role in operational aspects of reliability, security, and resilience of bulk power systems in the future.
