Abstract: Forge Nano Inc. is a global leader in surface engineering and precision nano-coatings using commercial scale atomic layer deposition (ALD). ALD has been around for more than 50 years and yet only now is it becoming possible to scale these precision nano-coatings on powders to commercially relevant scale. This presentation will focus on the considerations in designing-for-scale to better understand the factors impacting scalability and how informed research and product development can lead to more market-driven ALD coatings on powders.

Bio: Reuben Sarkar is Chief Product Officer at Forge Nano Inc. Formerly, he was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation for the DOE-EERE. He holds both bachelor and master of science degrees in chemical engineering, as well as an MBA, all from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
