Abstract: Tabletop physics provides some very sensitive tests of the Standard Model and beyond. One example is our recent ACME measurement of the electron’s electric dipole moment. The measurement probed with a sensitivity that is 12 times greater than our previous measurement, which itself was also 12 times more sensitive than all measurements that came before.
