Abstract: High-performance computing (HPC) is one of Argonne’s primary research areas. We will survey the kinds of problems HPC applications solve and the challenges those applications face. We will discuss the computational and storage hardware deployed at Argonne, along with some tools and approaches for making the most of that hardware.
