Abstract: This talk will describe the journey that led to the creation of the UChicago Cyberinfrastructure Alliance (UCCA) to promote greater collaboration among researchers and the information technology organizations that support them, the mission that we have defined for ourselves through the committee charter, the various deliverables that are to be regularly produced or updated as planning materials and artifacts of this work, and efforts to expand participation in this group, including our partners in the national laboratories.
