Bill Gropp named a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery

Congratulations to Bill Gropp, who was recently named a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery. This is ACM’s most prestigious member grade, recognizing the top one percent of ACM members for their outstanding accomplishments in computing and information technology and/or outstanding service to ACM and the larger computing community. Bill was cited for his pioneering work in message passing, partial differential equation solvers, and parallel methods for advanced scientific computing.
