Azamat Mametjanov, an application performance engineer in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne, has received an Outstanding Contribution Award from the DOE Accelerated Climate Modeling for Energy (ACME) project.

Mametjanov has been leading the OpenMP/many-core performance improvements to ACME.  The ACME Executive Committee makes these awards at each all-hands meeting to two staff members based on nominations by the group leads. The committee honored Mametjanov ​“for significant contributions to ACME performance, response to critical issues, and laying the groundwork for future challenges on next-generation computers.”
