ROMIO is a high-performance, portable implementation of MPI-IO, the interface for parallel I/O defined in the MPI standard. ROMIO provides the MPI-IO functionality in several MPI implementations including MPICH, all the vendor MPI implementations derived from MPICH (IBM, Intel, Cray, Microsoft, Myricom), and also in the Open MPI implementation.
