ROMPR: Robust Optimization and Modeling for Phase Retrieval

ROMPR
Developing nonlinearly constrained robust, stochastic, and global optimization models

Inverse problems involving the determination of an object’s structure based on its measured diffraction pattern and physics-based constraints arise at DOE’s light sources and across the scientific landscape.

In this project, we are developing nonlinearly constrained robust, stochastic, and global optimization models for these kinds of phase retrieval problems and scalable algorithms for solving these models.
