vl3 is a novel parallel volume rendering framework for visualization of large datasets. Its main advantages over other software are

• Efficient handling of very large datasets,
• Very fast implementation using optimized shader code in GPU clusters, and
• Ability to stream large format video from cluster to tiled display over segmented streams.

vl3 has been deployed for visualizing data in several scientific domains including cosmology, astrophysics and biosciences.
