The Nissan Leaf is one of the first production electric cars to be sold by a major automaker in recent years. The vehicle is equipped with AC synchronous traction motor, powered by a 24kWh lithium-ion battery. The vehicle was extensively tested at the Advanced Powertrain Research Facility (APRF) at three ambient test temperatures (20F, 72F, 95F) with the use of various drive cycles.
