Alec Sandy is an Associate Division Director in the X-ray Science Division, where he oversees a team that develops cutting-edge synchrotron x-ray instrumentation, optics, algorithms, software, controls and detectors to enable state-of-the-art x-ray techniques for addressing the research needs of the U.S. scientific community across a range of physical, materials, chemical, environmental, and life sciences.
