Biography

Andrew Siegel has led several major projects in the past decade. For example, he was lead software architect with the FLASH project at the University of Chicago; he built the applications team for the Blue Gene Consortium; he spearheaded the establishment of a nuclear engineering simulation program at Argonne; and he was director of SHARP (Simulation for High Accuracy Reactor Program) at Argonne.

Siegel received his B.A. in philosophy  at the University of Chicago and his Ph.D. in the Department of Astrophysical, Planetary, and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Colorado.
