Biography

Daniel Huang is a Professional Career Intern (PCI) who provides administrative support for University Student Programs (USP) and internship students at Argonne. He helps manage the university-level programs, ensuring that the internships run smoothly and engage students in STEM learning. Drawing on his past work experiences as an intern, he also acts as an additional resource for students to adjust to working as interns at a national laboratory. Always interested in learning something new every day, Daniel wants to contribute to interns’ experience at the lab and create a rich STEM learning environment with USP.

Daniel is set to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (with a minor in Computing) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) this fall. During his studies, Daniel has participated in numerous internships, such as helping families as an applied behavior analyst from 2020-2021 and researching the microbial functions of genetically modified plants during a Community College Internship (CCI) appointment at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2021. Interested in the administration and human resources of STEM fields, he hopes to combine his experiences in science and the humanities.

Due to his interest in HR, Daniel was a founding board member for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)’s chapter at UCLA, and he is currently the chapter’s corporate relations chair. He is also a member of the Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA). In addition, he volunteers as a roving ambassador at the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens.
