Dave has over 24 years of experience designing and operating experimental systems, including the last nine years at Argonne. He is currently a mechanical engineer in the Experimental Operations and Facilities division.

His expertise includes developing and operating experiments, testing, operations with alkali metals, problem solving, and project management.

These include the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) accelerator; building and testing a lithium thin film charge stripper system, work on the APS-Upgrade, and various other projects around the lab.  He holds BSME and MSME degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
