Elina Kasman

Innovation and Commercialization Associate

Kasman has 20 years of experience as a technical specialist in diverse environments, including manufacturing, academia, medical device R&D, start-ups and National Laboratory settings.

Biography

As an Innovation and Commercialization Associate, Elina Kasman partners with Argonne researchers to catalyze programs, agreements, and technology transfer and commercialization efforts.

Prior to assuming her current role, Kasman worked for 10 years at Argonne as an X-ray Optics Fabrication Engineer. Highlights of her time as a researcher included her role as a member of the core team that developed a strategy of science innovation for Argonne’s Science for a Circular Economy initiative, and support of DOE’s SBIR/STTR Program for the Light Source Facilities. She also participated in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy I-Corps program, in cohorts 1 and 10.

Prior to coming to Argonne, Kasman worked in the manufacturing sector, where she developed long-term relationships and experience in diverse environments, including early-stage start-up, manufacturing, academia, and medical device R&D.  Her experience supporting product management includes market analysis, ROI, due diligence, new product development, preparation of marketing tools, and product launch technology commercialization. 

Kasman has an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago, and she holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Technion – Israeli Institute of Technology.
