Biography
Eric has 25 years of design engineering experience including 15 years at Argonne where he has developed unique expertise for system/component design and analysis for advanced nuclear reactors. Eric also has rich experience designing experimental facility for advanced nuclear reactors. He is currently a Principal Mechanical Engineer in the Experimental Operations and Facilities division.
Eric is skilled in mechanical component design; mechanical system design and analysis; system analysis under the principles of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics; applications of alkali metals (sodium); design for manufacturing; finite element analysis; Mathcad; AutoCAD; computer-aided design solid work, and programming. He has worked on projects that involved the Versatile Test Reactor, Mechanism Engineer Test Loop, Prototype Gen-IV Sodium Cooled Fast Reactor, Advanced Reactor Concepts, Advanced Burner Test Reactor, Planar Electrode Electro-Refiner Prototype, and Global Mercury.
Eric attended the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where he received a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering, and DePaul University, where he received a Master of Science degree in computer sciences.
