Eve Kovacs began her career in theoretical particle physics but now works on cosmology. Her interests include production of mock sky catalogs for sky surveys, galaxy formation & modeling and the exploration of cosmological applications of machine learning
Biography
Eve Kovacs is a scientist/computer specialist in the HEP division at Argonne National Laboratory. She works on cosmology simulations and semi-analytic galaxy modeling and is a member of LSST-DESC. She is also a member of the Dark Energy Survey (DES) and works on supernova cosmology. Prior to working in cosmology, Kovacs was a member of the CDF Collaboration and worked on QCD phenomenology and jet physics. Earlier in her career she worked in theoretical particle physics on a number of topics in lattice gauge theories. She received her PhD from the University of Melbourne in 1980.
