Biography

Hunter Akiyoshi is a Student Operations Intern who supports University Student Programs and student recruitment with internal operations and optimizing hiring processes. He manages recruiting strategies, handles day-to-day business operations, facilitates smooth onboarding and off-boarding for interns. His goal is to streamline and enhance the student recruitment and internship processes by implementing innovative strategies, in order to provide a seamless onboarding and ensure an invaluable experience for all Argonne interns.

After earning his Associate’s degree in International Relations at the College of DuPage, Hunter completed his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at North Central College; while at North Central, he also studied abroad in Greece. He continues to study at North Central, working towards completing an MBA program; his specializations are Human Resource Management and International Business, as he wishes to build his skills toward a leadership position in those fields.

Hunter is a member of the community college honors society Phi Theta Kappa. He also volunteers for the Japanese American Citizens League and the Carpatho-Rusyn Society, both of which spread awareness about their respective ethnic groups’ history, culture, and socio-political issues.
