Johnathon Briggs

Head of Communications, Energy Storage

Biography

Johnathon Briggs is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of marketing communications for energy storage research at Argonne National Laboratory, including web strategy, social media, public relations, event planning, and collateral. He provides strategic communications support for the Argonne Collaborative Center for Energy Storage Science (ACCESS) and the Joint Center for Energy Storage Research (JCESR).

Prior to joining Argonne, Briggs served as corporate communications lead for UL, a global safety science company. He has led communications programs in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors and draws upon his 11 years of experience as a journalist (Los Angeles Times, The Baltimore Sun, Chicago Tribune) to develop effective messaging and content.

Briggs has a bachelor’s degree in communications and African & African American Studies from Stanford University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from DePaul University.
