Lydia Finney is the Manager for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In her role, Finney guides the development of the Annual DOE DEI plan, oversees Argonne’s Employee Resource Groups and DEI Councils, and she recently led the DEI Assessment project.

Finney brings to her work first-hand insights from her research career at Argonne, which has included nearly ten years as a physicist at the Advanced Photon Source, prior to her career as a diversity, equity and inclusion professional.

Lydia Finney received her BS in Chemistry from SUNY Albany, and as a Hertz Fellow, her PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University. She is certified as a National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Practitioner (NDCCDP).
