Matthew Hendricks received his Bachelor’s Science Degree from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign in 2003.  He joined ATLAS as an accelerator operator in May 2007, a job that is tasked with ensuring user satisfaction of beam quality and configuration while operating safely.  Three years later, May 2010, he was promoted to the role of Operations Supervisor, in charge of a crew of seven operators, and additionally tasked with coordinating the interaction of various subgroups to ensure efficient and consistent operation of facility.  July 2017 Matt was promoted to the role of Operations Manager, and currently oversees three major subgroups of ATLAS as well as all day to day operation and safety of the facility.
