Biography

Ogun Yurdakul is a Technical Research Aide at Argonne National Laboratory’s Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis division. He is working in the Advanced Grid Modeling, Optimization and Analytics group in the Center for Energy, Environmental, and Economic Systems Analysis (CEEESA). 

He is currently a final-year Ph.D student at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. He obtained his M.S. degree in 2018 in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he completed his undergraduate studies in 2016 in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. His research interests include power system optimization under uncertainty, contextual stochastic optimization, and electricity markets.
