Pallavi Bobba is a postdoctoral researcher in the Systems Assessment Group of the Energy Systems Division. She works on life cycle analysis for energy and chemical sector with Pingping Sun.

Pallavi received her MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering at the Oklahoma State University and University of Kansas, respectively. Her PhD thesis, titled ​“Kinetics Studies on Propylene Oxide Carboxylation with Homogeneous and Heterogenous Catalysts” focuses on conversion of carbon dioxide to cyclic carbonates, phase equilibrium studies for carboxylation reaction mixtures, and kinetics studies for synthesis of propylene carbonate. Pallavi received her BTech in Chemical Engineering at the Osmania University, India.

Pallavi’s prior work experience at Larsen & Toubro Ltd., involved designing unit operations in Aspen Hysys with emphasis on heat transfer equipment.
