Ramakanta Chapai

Biography

Ramakanta Chapai is a postdoctoral appointee in the Materials Science division at Argonne National Laboratory. He received his undergraduate degree from Tribhuvan University and his M.S. in Physics from Miami University. Ramakanta received his Ph.D. in Physics from Louisiana State University in 2021, where he explored topological properties of several Transition-Metal Pnictides and Chalcogenides through the study of Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) and de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) effects. His current research at Argonne National Laboratory is focused primarily on synthesizing novel quantum materials including topological semimetals and superconductors, and characterizing them through the measurement of magnetic, thermal and charge-transport properties.
