Biography

Roger has over 36 years of engineering experience including 20 years at Argonne National Laboratory with significant expertise in system integration and component design.  He is currently a Principal Mechanical Engineer in the Experimental Operations and Facilities division.

Roger’s expertise includes mechanical engineering concepts and integration, mechanisms and linkages, structures, weldments, hydraulics, pneumatics, heat transfer, ANSYS finite element analysis, CREO, inventions, x-ray tomography, subcritical reactor concepts, and neutron spallation targets. He has been recognized for his highly effective, creative solutions to engineering problems.

Roger has worked on SNS at Oak Ridge National Laboratory; KIPT in Ukraine; METL, HUDEX, STAR, SFR, ASST and APS-U at Argonne National Laboratory; and NoVA and DUNE at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory; TAPIRO in Italy; SCFR-2 and LCLS 2 at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center; and MTS at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Roger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York, Buffalo.
