Ronald T. Kmak

Biography

During Ron’s 30 years at Argonne, he has both focused on the Advanced Photon Source (APS) and served many customers lab-wide. He contributed to projects that led to two pending patents for a radioisotope test station. He currently works on beamline layout for the Advanced Photon Source and the LEAF facility as well as vacuum chamber design. Previously, he assisted with beamline girder design at the LCLS at Stanford University, as well as shielding and choppers” at the SNS at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Ron is experienced in drafting, design for manufacturing, and using 3D CADD, ProE/Creo, Autodesk Inventor, and Vault. He received an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and an Associate of Science Degree from Moraine Valley Community College.
