Biography

Sidney Rempel has been engaged in academic and CRM archaeological research for 30 years with specializations in Near Eastern complex societies, archaeological geomatics, and GIS analysis. His field work experience spans the Middle East, Eastern Africa, the Mediterranean, and North America where his project support has focused on geospatial data acquisition and analysis, cartography, photogrammetry, photography, and database management. Most recently, Mr. Rempel has served as Field Director on two excavation and survey projects in Dubai and Lebanon.

At Argonne National Laboratory, Mr. Rempel has assisted with, and managed several US Air Force and Space Force projects involving report reviews/editing, workflow coordination, and GIS support and analysis. Mr. Rempel also provides assistance with several ongoing and new Bureau of Land Management projects, involving region-specific cultural resource inventories, as well as a State-wide internal cultural resource data management assessment.
