Stuart has 15 years of experience with design and engineering and five years of experience in design supervision. Stuart leads a team of seven that make up the Design and Drafting group within Engineering Services.

Stuart is expert in computer-aided design (CAD) and has worked in Inventor, AutoCAD, Creo, and NX.

During his tenure at Argonne, Stuart has worked on projects including the Backpack detector testing system, the desalination filtration system, and the muon-to-electron (Mu2e) magnetic field mapping system and cosmic-ray veto system. He is also responsible for the three-dimensional printing done at the Experimental Operations and Facilities (EOF) division.

Prior to Argonne, Stuart worked for Electro-Motive for 11 years designing and then supervising in the Powertrain Design group where he earned three patents.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
