Biography

Xiaoyi Zhang is a physicist and the group leader of the Time-Resolved Research group in the X-ray Science Division of the Argonne National Laboratory. She has extensive experience and strong interest in developing and implementing synchrotron-based, laser pump/X-ray probe, time-resolved X-ray spectroscopy and scattering techniques. Her research focuses on understanding multiple time- and length-scale dynamics, and structure-function correlation of processes related to solar energy conversion.

Xiaoyi Zhang received her Ph.D. in chemical physics from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2003 and B.S. in Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1998.
