Biography

Dr. Zhaoyun Zeng received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2016 and a Ph.D. degree in High-Performance Buildings from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2020. Prior to joining Argonne, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for two years. His research focuses on urban-scale building simulation and climate change adaptation of cities. He is a recipient of Chu Kochen Scholarship and Xia Anshi-Heatcraft Award. He is also the winner of First Place in Small Multifamily Housing Contest of the U.S. Department of Energy Race to Zero Student Design Competition. He serves as a youth member of the editorial board of Building Simulation and a member of the IBPSA Awards & Fellows Committee.
