Argonne-developed vehicle powertrain control algorithms to minimize energy consumption are based on actual test data across a wide range of powertrains, technologies, and vehicle classes. Other algorithms encompass vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, with a real-world implementable algorithm deployed using X-in-the-loop (XiL) technology on the horizon.
