Argonne will co-lead effort to help the EV industry achieve a seamless and dependable charging experience

The National Charging Experience Consortium (ChargeX) helps to ensure convenient and reliable electric vehicle charging for all Americans.

The Biden-Harris Administration has provided funding to propel the electrification of America’s transportation sector and stimulate private sector investments in clean transportation. Through President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the administration has introduced the National Charging Experience Consortium (ChargeX) to spearhead the development of rapid and user-friendly charging solutions that ensure accessibility and convenience for all Americans.

Led by the Department of Energy’s Argonne’s National Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory and National Renewable Energy Laboratory, ChargeX will collaborate with leading organizations in the electric vehicle (EV) charging industry to develop solutions that offer a seamless and dependable charging experience. With commitments from nearly 30 companies and organizations, ChargeX aims to achieve successful plug-in experiences every time EV users utilize public charging infrastructure.
