TAPS researchers receive VTO awards

Several researchers were honored during the Vehicle Technology Office Annual Merit Review.

Argonne researchers Keith Hardy and Aymeric Rousseau were recently honored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Vehicle Technology Office at their 2023 Annual Merit Review.

Hardy was presented with the Lifetime Distinguished Achievement Award in recognition of significant contributions to the electrification of the transportation sector and the advancement of the DOE mission to decarbonize transportation.

Rousseau, along with individuals from Idaho National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory, National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, received the Team Award for ending SMART 2.0 on a high note by interpreting and organizing hundreds of insights into high-impact stakeholder engagement. This collaborative effort will help stakeholders understand the energy implications and opportunities of advanced mobility solutions.

Former Argonne employee, Amanda McAlpin (now the Batteries and Critical Materials Recycling Supply Chain Deployment Manager at DOE), also received the Distinguished Achievement Award in recognition of her loyal dedication to the Technology Integration Program and commitment to EcoCAR EV Challenge and the Clean Cities University Workforce Development Program.
