Scientists are addressing the vulnerabilities of infrastructure systems through the lens of climate impacts by creating and adapting climate maps to infrastructure as a way for communities to protect themselves from the effects of climate change.
As alternative energy technologies such as wind, solar, and geothermal become increasingly important, EVS research enhances our understanding of the environmental impacts of these technologies through life cycle analyses.
Report highlights the conference’s key themes: prioritizing environmental justice; the need for enhanced climate models; and planning for adaptation and resilience.
