Center for Nanoscale Materials 10th Anniversary Symposium

The Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM), a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science user facility located at Argonne National Laboratory, celebrated its 10th anniversary with a symposium on Friday, October, 27, 2017.

The symposium featured:

  • A networking event
  • Interactive displays and poster presentations
  • Tours of CNM’s clean room and Sector 26 at the Advanced Photon Source 
  • Symposium luncheon
  • Workshop: How to Prepare Successful CNM User Proposals”

Call for user proposals 

The CNM issues three calls for user proposals each year in March, July and October. 

Located in Chicagoland

The CNM, located 35 minutes southwest of Chicago, was constructed under a joint partnership between DOE and the State of Illinois as part of DOE’s Nanoscale Science Research Center program under the National Nanotechnology Initiative.

Academic, industrial and international researchers can access the center through its user program for both nonproprietary and proprietary research.
