Michael Wang is an Argonne National Laboratory Distinguished Fellow, Senior Scientist, the Director of the Systems Assessment Center, and interim director of the Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis division. Michael Wang has led the development and applications of Argonne’s GREET (Greenhouse gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy use in Technologies) model for life-cycle analysis of advanced vehicle technologies, transportation fuels, and other energy systems. 

James Miller is a senior scientist in the Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis division at Argonne National Laboratory.  He also currently serves as the Secretary-General of the International Energy Agency’s Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology Collaboration Program. He has 40 years of research experience at Argonne National Laboratory, working on advanced batteries, fuel cells, hydrogen, and electric vehicles. 

Guenter Conzelmann is a senior energy and environmental analyst in Argonne National Laboratory’s Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis division. His research over the last 30 years has focused on the development and application of modeling and simulation tools to study strategic energy, environmental, and power sector issues, including renewable energy integration, smart grid and microgrid analysis, advanced grid modeling, hydrogen infrastructure analysis, agent-based modeling of power markets and global materials markets, and energy sector resilience to extreme events.

Keith Hardy is the Director of Argonne National Laboratory’s Electric Vehicle (EV)-Smart Grid Interoperability Center, which plays a key role in supporting global harmonization of standards and technology for the EV-grid interface, as well as charging interoperability to ensure future electric vehicles and charging stations worldwide work together seamlessly.

Rajesh Ahluwalia manages the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen group in Argonne National Laboratory’s Transportation and Power Systems division. He is a co-developer of GCTool (General Computational Toolkit), a software package that helps design, analyze, and optimize automotive and stationary distributed fuel cell power generation systems, as well as other power-plant configurations.

Bruce Hamilton is Program Manager of Global Energy Solutions in Argonne National Laboratory’s Energy Systems division. He provides leadership for initiatives designed to deliver measurable benefits to countries, states, and communities in pursuit of sustainable energy and economic development.

Vladimir Koritarov is the Director of the Center for Energy, Environmental, and Economic Systems Analysis (CEEESA) in Argonne National Laboratory’s Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis division. CEEESA conducts research of complex energy and environmental systems and provides technical support and analysis to the U.S. Department of Energy, other U.S. government agencies, as well as to international organizations and institutions around the world.

Douglas Longman is the Manager of Engine Research at Argonne National Laboratory. This research spans internal combustion engine experimental study of fundamental combustion properties, low-temperature combustion, heavy-duty IC engine biofuels, and large engine stationary and locomotive engine research, microturbines, and combined heat and power systems.

Aymeric Rousseau is the Manager of the Systems Modeling and Control Section. For the past 20 years, he has been evaluating the impact of advanced vehicle and transportation technologies from a mobility and energy point of view including the development of Autonomie (vehicle system simulation) and POLARIS (large-scale transportation system simulation).

Sibendu Som leads a Computational Fluid Dynamics team at Argonne National Laboratory that focuses on developing nozzle-flow, spray, and combustion models; and high-performance computing for internal combustion engine applications. The team develops predictive simulation capabilities to advance high-efficiency low-emission engines and the implementation of uncertainty quantification for engine simulations.

Kristen Wahl is the Manager of the Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) Program in Argonne National Laboratory’s Energy Systems division, where she has organized and managed more than 25 student automotive engineering competitions since 1997, including the most recent EcoCAR 3 series. 

Dr. Thomas Wallner is the Division Director for the Transportation and Power Systems Division at Argonne National Laboratory. He previously managed the Advanced Mobility and Grid Integration Technology Research section in Argonne’s Center for Transportation Research.
