CURLS is a “tunnel” that installs in an existing glove port along with various co-designed resource cartridges that allow easy and rapid changeover of resources without losing containment.
CURLS — the Containment Unidirectional Resource Loading System developed at Argonne — expands the flexibility and revolutionizes material transfer in and out of glove boxes and other containment systems.
The tunnel-like CURLS device enables on-the-fly resource changes from gloves to data lines, vacuum adapters, piping, power, and an entirely new bag-in/bag-out approach. Adapters allow the CURLS device to be mounted into any existing glove port with an array of fail-safe cartridges available for any resource needed for research, testing or production purposes.
