July 2020 PSE Employees of the Month

Travis Frazer and Mariel Jomant are recognized as PSE Employees of the Month

The Physical Sciences and Engineering (PSE) Employees of the Month program recognizes two individuals each month — one programmatic and one operations — based on the excellence of their work and demonstration of Argonne’s Core Values: Impact, Safety, Respect, Integrity and Teamwork.

July 2020 PSE Employee of the Month – Programmatic category

  • Travis Frazer, a postdoc in Argonne’s Materials Science Division, recently volunteered his time to the division’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. He encourages and engages his colleagues in important discussion, and his hard work and leadership in this area display all five of Argonne’s Core Values.

July 2020 PSE Employee of the Month – Operations category

  • After the retirement of one of Argonne’s Chemical Sciences and Engineering (CSE) division human resource specialists, Mariel Jomant has taken responsibility for the full range of the division’s human resource needs. Learning quickly and exceeding expectations, Jomant has become an invaluable resource for CSE employees.

Each month, the PSE associate laboratory director and division directors review PSE Employee of the Month nominations and select recipients. All Argonne employees are eligible for nomination, including people within PSE and those who work with PSE. All PSE staff, postdocs and students are welcome to submit nominations.
