Since assuming the role of User Program Coordinator for the Center for Nanoscale Materials, Kathryn Tietz has gone above and beyond to ensure a smooth and safe experience for users during Limited Operations. She works diligently to develop extensive weekly user schedules, and she displays initiative by learning quickly and suggesting process improvements. She has a clear passion for interacting with users, and she embodies all of Argonne’s Core Values.

Jeongseog Song, Ravi Gampa and Amy Renne from Argonne’s Physics division worked diligently to achieve results required for a Small Business Innovative Research Project for DOE’s Office of Nuclear Physics. The group delivered an intense neutron irradiation, which required simulations of the neutron generator, design and fabrication of the target and coordination with the University of Wisconsin medical cyclotron group to safely and effectively achieve the required results.
Each month, the PSE Associate Laboratory Director and Division Directors review PSE Employees of the Month nominations and select recipients. All Argonne employees are eligible for nomination, including people within PSE and those who work with PSE. All PSE staff, postdocs and students are welcome to submit nominations. The call for nominations opens on the first of each month.
