The Physical Sciences and Engineering (PSE) Employees of the Month program recognizes individuals based on the excellence of their work and demonstration of Argonne’s Core Values: Impact, Safety, Respect, Integrity and Teamwork.
September 2022 PSE Employee of the Month — Operations category
- Esther Kovacs (PSE) has been essential in training a new administrator while also supporting several research groups. She displays regular willingness to help, responsiveness and attention to detail. Esther’s contributions exemplify the Core Values of Respect, Integrity and Teamwork.
September 2022 PSE Employee of the Month — Programmatic category
- Brandon Fisher (NST) has been managing the liquid helium shortage and coordinating the helium gas recovery for the Nanoscience and Technology (NST) division. This has been a tremendous amount of work in addition to the normal scope of his position. He has also been the NST representative and a major contributor to Argonne’s overall effort for helium gas recovery for reliquification. His work in this area exemplifies the Core Values of Impact and Teamwork.
Each month, the PSE Associate Laboratory Director and Division Directors review PSE Employees of the Month nominations and select recipients. All Argonne employees are eligible for nomination, including people within PSE and those who work with PSE. All PSE staff, postdocs and students are welcome to submit nominations.
