Chris Heckle is director of the Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center at Argonne National Laboratory. She is a globally recognized research and development leader.
Don Hillebrand is the Deputy Associate Laboratory Director for Programs for Argonne National Laboratory’s Advanced Energy Technologies directorate. Previously, he was Director of Argonne National Laboratory’s Energy Systems Division, leading a team of engineers and scientists developing sustainable innovative technologies to improve the efficiency of resource and energy utilization, minimize America’s dependence on imported energy, and enhance U.S. national security.
Director, Supply Chain Research for NTNS and AET and Program Lead
Allison Bennett Irion serves on the senior leadership team for both the Advanced Energy Technologies (AET) and Nuclear Technologies and National Security (NTNS) directorates as the Director of Supply Chain Research. She develops and coordinates a lab-wide strategy to enhance Argonne’s supply chain impacts, bringing together analytical and experimental capabilities to address national security and clean energy challenges.
Interim Director of the Center for Decarbonization Solutions Deployment (CDSD)
Aymeric Rousseau is the Manager of the Systems Modeling and Control Section. For the past 20 years, he has been evaluating the impact of advanced vehicle and transportation technologies from a mobility and energy point of view including the development of Autonomie (vehicle system simulation) and POLARIS (large-scale transportation system simulation).
Director Advanced Propulsion and Power Department; Director AI Applications Initiative
Sibendu Som leads a Computational Fluid Dynamics team at Argonne National Laboratory that focuses on developing nozzle-flow, spray, and combustion models; and high-performance computing for internal combustion engine applications. The team develops predictive simulation capabilities to advance high-efficiency low-emission engines and the implementation of uncertainty quantification for engine simulations.
Director, Energy Justice and Workforce Readiness / Director, Sustainable Transportation Education and Partnerships (STEP) Department
Kristen Wahl is the Manager of the Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) Program in Argonne National Laboratory’s Energy Systems division, where she has organized and managed more than 25 student automotive engineering competitions since 1997, including the most recent EcoCAR 3 series.
Greg Krumdick is the Director of Argonne National Laboratory’s Applied Materials division. Previously, he managed Argonne’s Materials Engineering Research Facility (MERF). He has been the principal investigator and lead engineer on numerous industrial process scale-up projects. Krumdick holds numerous patents and has earned three R&D 100 awards and a Federal Laboratory Consortium award for technology transfer.
Director, Transportation and Power Systems Division
Dr. Thomas Wallner is the Division Director for the Transportation and Power Systems Division at Argonne National Laboratory. He previously managed the Advanced Mobility and Grid Integration Technology Research section in Argonne’s Center for Transportation Research.
Interim Division Director for Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis
Michael Wang is an Argonne National Laboratory Distinguished Fellow, Senior Scientist, the Director of the Systems Assessment Center, and interim director of the Energy Systems and Infrastructure Analysis division. Michael Wang has led the development and applications of Argonne’s GREET (Greenhouse gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy use in Technologies) model for life-cycle analysis of advanced vehicle technologies, transportation fuels, and other energy systems.
