Argonne-developed ​‘fast’ modeling tools for power system analysis and natural gas pipeline assessment form the backbone of GEST. The testbed facilitates access to EPfast, an electric power infrastructure modeling tool that decision-makers can use to examine the impacts of power outages on large electric grid systems, and NGfast, a simulation model for rapid assessment of impacts of natural gas pipeline disruptions and flow reductions, including at country borders and import points.
