Nucleon-nucleus effective interactions: folding the nucleon-nucleon interaction

Theory Seminar - 21 September 2022

Ana Arriaga, University of Lisbon

Our analysis of nucleon knockout reactions, done so far, were performed with the use of pure phenomenological optical potentials to describe nucleon-nuclei interactions. It is the goal of the present work to generate effective nucleon-nuclei interactions from folding microscopic realistic NN interactions with nuclei wave functions obtained within Variational Monte Carlo (VMC) calculations.
