February 2023 PSE Employee of the Month — Operations category
- Teresa Sokolowski led Physical Sciences and Engineering’s (PSE) organization of a Board of Governors review of one of the lab’s strategic initiatives in December 2022. This required integration of contributions and deliverables from other Argonne directorates, as well as coordination and communication with the University of Chicago. The review was well structured and received accolades from key stakeholders. Sokolowski’s effort reflected Argonne’s Core Values of Impact and Teamwork.
February 2023 PSE Employees of the Month – Programmatic category
- Henry Chan, Pierre Darancet, Ralu Divan, David Gosztola, Jeff Guest, Xinhao Li, Suzanne Miller, Fubo Rao, Elena Rozhkova, Nozomi Shirato, Kathryn Tietz, Jie Xu and Tao Zhou (NST) supported the January 2023 Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics, hosted at Argonne, by accommodating special tours of the Center for Nanoscale Materials for about 60 undergraduate students, and by making it a memorable experience for our guests. The team exhibited the Core Values of Impact, Respect and Teamwork.
Each month, the PSE Associate Laboratory Director and Division Directors review PSE Employees of the Month nominations and select recipients. All Argonne employees are eligible for nomination, including people within PSE and those who work with PSE. All PSE staff, postdocs and students are welcome to submit nominations.
