As the Neutrino group leader in Argonne’s High Energy Physics division, Zelimir Djurcic conducts and facilitates critical research and development efforts for particle accelerator experiments, including the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), the NOvA experiment at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fermi Accelerator National Laboratory and the ProtoDUNE experiment at CERN. He also recently received an Argonne Core Value Shout-Out for Impact.

Ken Krajniak manages the IT group supporting Argonne’s Materials Science division and the PSE office. Krajniak works tirelessly to keep the IT infrastructure working smoothly during the lab’s minimum safe operations mode, ensuring staff have access to the resources critical to their work. In addition to completing his work effectively and keeping lines of communication open, Krajniak proactively employs safety measures to protect his team when working onsite, demonstrating Argonne’s Core Values of Impact, Safety and Teamwork.
Each month, the PSE Associate Laboratory Director and Division Directors review PSE Employee of the Month nominations and select recipients. All Argonne employees are eligible for nomination, including people within PSE and those who work with PSE. All PSE staff, postdocs and students are welcome to submit nominations. The call for nominations opens on the first of each month.
